About the Therapist

Alison has trained as a CBT Therapist with both children and adults.

She is experienced in treating anxiety, anger, depression and low self-esteem in adults and children using tried and tested treatment protocols with flexibility to suit the needs of the client.

She is currently carrying out CBT in a primary school and has her own private practice where she carries out CBT with adults, children and adolescents also involving parents and working more systemically if necessary. She is currently working on a book/treatment protocol. The aim of the book is to give clinicians working with children, a one stop resource that will give them insight via case studies how adult CBT can be adapted to work with children.

Alison has had 20 years experience working with children and wants to share what she has found to be effective when working with children using CBT to treat anxiety, depression, impulsivity, anger, low self-esteem and emotional regulation in high functioning autism.

She is a member of the BABCP adhering to their rules and ethics.

Alison regularly uses the supervision from Nick Crichton an accredited CBT therapist, EMDR Therapist.
